It has the essentials, including a 15.6-inch full HD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, so it looks suitably sharp and responsive when playing most games. There are compromises for the lower price, though, like an older Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU and only 8GB of RAM \u2014 but that\u2019s not bad at all for the price and is capable of playing undemanding games at medium settings without issue.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a good starter gaming laptop for anyone who doesn\u2019t want to spend too much, but still wants to play some games such as Fortnite, League of Legends or Counter-Strike away from home or with limited space.<\/p>\n

The Acer Nitro V might be a little older, but it has reliable hardware for entry-level gaming on a budget. There\u2019s a 13th-generation Intel Core i5-13420H CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. None of this is particularly new or revolutionary, but it\u2019s good for playing a lot of older or undemanding games if you don\u2019t mind tweaking quality levels. Its backlit keyboard and 15.6-inch screen with 165Hz refresh rate adds a touch of class too.<\/p>\n

We haven’t specifically reviewed this particular model but when looking at a newer revision, our Acer Nitro V review called it a \u201ccapable 1080p gaming machine with a surprisingly vibrant display to boot.\u201d<\/p>\n

We gave it four stars out of five and appreciated its \u201cgood 1080p performance.\u201d Such performance led to it being one of the best gaming laptops around for anyone on a budget. Just bear in mind that its battery life could be a little better, but I\u2019m not surprised there are some flaws when it\u2019s such a low price.<\/p>\n

That mentality extends to this slightly older model and looks just as good with a subtle but fun gamer aesthetic.<\/p>\n
